Publication Ethics
The Editorial Board consistently adheres to the publication standards of the COPE Code of Conduct, approved by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), DORA, the Ethical Code of the Scientist of Ukraine, and other relevant standards. This ensures academic integrity, transparent peer review, prevention of plagiarism, and ethical treatment of authors and reviewers. The Editorial Office considers the rights and obligations of all parties involved in the publication process: author(s), reviewers, the editorial board, as well as the rights of readers.
The Publisher and Editor do not support the publication of research results conducted with violations of ethical standards. If the Publisher and/or Editor become aware of any facts of research misconduct, they will investigate such facts or allegations. The Publisher and Editor are always prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary.
The authorship policy of the collection corresponds to the rules and recommendations of COPE and Elsevier. The number of authors is limited to no more than three. The order of authors in the publication is based on a joint decision of the co-authors in accordance with the significance of each individual's contribution.
AUTHORS are obliged to:
– while retaining the copyright to the article, simultaneously grant the journal the right of first publication, which allows others to freely distribute the published work with mandatory acknowledgment of its authors and its first publication;
– submit an original linguistic work that does not contain plagiarism (self-plagiarism) and is formatted according to the Submission Guidelines;
– bear full responsibility for the accuracy of facts, statistical data, proper names, quotations, references, and translation;
– immediately notify the Editor-in-Chief in case of discovering a serious error or inaccuracy in the published research to publish corrections or clarifications;
– sign the Author Agreement within five days after notification of approval once the article is accepted for publication in the collection of scientific works “Linguistic Bulletin”.
AUTHORS have the right to:
– receive information from the editorial office regarding all stages of the article's preparation for print;
– receive reviews, and in case of comments and/or suggestions – revise the article or submit a reasoned explanation to the editorial board regarding disagreement with the experts' opinion (within one week);
– withdraw the article before the issue materials containing the article are sent to the publishing house.
REVIEWERS (members of the editorial board, leading specialists of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, Ukrainian and foreign educational and/or scientific institutions):
– conduct an anonymous examination of manuscripts, considering the basic requirements of publishing ethics – respecting the principles of copyright and intellectual property rights – and adhering to the principles of confidentiality;
– evaluate the manuscript regarding its relevance, novelty, content of presentation, generalizations, and conclusions by filling out a standard Review form;
– provide an expert assessment using the following formulations: recommend the article for publication without corrections; recommend for publication after considering the reviewer’s comments; recommend for publication after thorough revision; recommend re-reviewing after significant changes; reject the article (the author may resubmit the revised material; resubmission is not allowed if the material has fundamental flaws);
– may decline the review request if they find a discrepancy between the manuscript’s topic and their scientific qualifications;
– are obliged to decline the review request if they identify a potential conflict of interest with the author of the manuscript or the institutions where the research was conducted;
– the review period is one month.
MEMBERS OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD:
– consider all submitted materials regardless of the author's ethnic origin, religious beliefs, citizenship, or political views;
– are responsible for the confidentiality of all materials until the moment of publication;
– appoint experts for double-blind peer review of articles;
– ensure a fair evaluation of manuscripts, guided by current legal requirements regarding copyright, legality, and plagiarism;
– reserve the right to check the article for plagiarism and to reject or return it for revision due to non-compliance with requirements;
– do not independently edit the author’s text; they coordinate the final version of the text with the authors after editorial corrections;
– make the final decision on the publication of the article (review) in the edition;
– in case of violations of scientific ethics or a conflict of interest (between the author and the reviewer or the author and other persons), hold a meeting to make a final and unappealable decision;
– have the right to submit their own manuscripts for publication, which are subject to the standard procedure of external independent peer review organized by the Editor-in-Chief, but do not participate in their consideration;
– disclose their interests (intellectual, financial, personal, political, religious, etc.) that may affect their objectivity during the editing and reviewing of articles (conflict of interest).
READERS have the right to OPEN ACCESS to the scientific content of the collection of scientific works, to information about the journal, and its publishing principles.
