The collection of scientific papers “Linguistic Bulletin” (“Movoznavchyi Visnyk”) fully complies with the “Recommendations on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Communication” developed by the European Association of Science Editors (EASE) and the guidelines of leading scientometric databases, including WoS and Scopus (Elsevier Generative AI Policies).

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a tool that can enhance the efficiency of scientific work; however, all results obtained with its assistance must be thoroughly verified and professionally interpreted.

Authors using AI must:

– voluntarily declare the use of – artificial intelligence during the preparation of materials;

– be responsible for the accuracy, originality, and reliability of the entire content of their manuscript, including parts created or edited using AI tools;

– include a structural component at the end of the article titled “Use of AI”, providing detailed information on how AI was applied.

The use of generative AI to create or modify images is prohibited (unless it is part of the research design and is properly described).

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts personally. A review must reflect the reviewer's own expert judgment and not be entirely generated by AI. Reviewers are prohibited from uploading confidential manuscript materials (including full text, data, figures, etc.) into AI tools that do not guarantee data confidentiality and security. The Editorial Board does not recommend the use of AI for peer review. However, the Board cannot guarantee that reviewers do not use AI. Reviewers must be as honest as possible and inform the editors how and with what results AI was used.

All manuscripts submitted to the editorial office undergo mandatory screening for plagiarism and the detection of potentially AI-generated content. The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript based on the scientific value, quality, and originality of the research. Correct use of AI during the preparation of the material cannot be a reason for rejection.

The journal’s policy is based on the principles of academic integrity and transparency regarding the use of modern technologies in scientific activities.

To provide structured disclosure of AI use, authors are recommended to complete the GAIDeT Declaration (Generative AI Delegation Taxonomy) at this link: https://panbibliotekar.github.io/gaidet-declaration/. The completed declaration must be submitted along with the manuscript.

In case of undeclared or unacceptable use of AI technologies that violates the principles of academic integrity, the editorial office will reject the manuscripts or postpone their publication until corrections are made.

Due to the rapid development of AI, the Editorial Board undertakes to constantly review and update the journal's policy regarding its use.
